Laurelbank School System

The Annual Sports Day Ceremony of Laurelbank School System 2012-13

The Annual Sports Day of the Laurelbank School System was held on 20^th December 2012 at the Railway Stadium, Garhi Shahu, Lahore. Ms. Muqaddas Ashraf – the National Squash Champion was the chief guest on the occasion. The programme started with the recitation of the Holy Quran. After the flag hoisting ceremony and the march past by the athletes of Shalimar, Alhamra Town and The Daroghawala Campuses, a melodious song was presented by the school choir. Some of the interesting events were 4x100m Relay Race, Sack Relay Race, Spoon Race, Tug of War. The spectators especially enjoyed the Karate Demonstration given by students of The Shalimar Campus I. The Shalimar, The Alhamra Town and The Daroghawala Campuses presented a P.T. display, aerobics and a colourful performance, respectively.

Hassan Abbas and Mehreen Amir from SRC I won the Best Athlete of the year trophies among boys and girls respectively. The Jinnah House from The Shalimar Campus I was declared the best house. In the end prizes were awarded to the winners of the various sports events by the chief guest. She appreciated the zeal and sportsmanship of the young athletes.
