In the Nastalique script, the shape of a letter does not remain constant but is context dependent. A rule based scheme has been devised for determining each shape within its special context. It has thus become possible to display/edit the Urdu Nastalique script on computer screens as a word is not treated as a single photographic image but as a combination of separately identifiable letters. Developed a unique bi-directional multilingual engine covering Roman, Naskh & Nastalique scripts.
