THE LITTLE MASTER OF LAHORE

(CHESS TOURNAMENT)

We would like to cordially invite your esteemed institution to “The Little Master of Lahore – Chess Tournament” to be held at our Alhamra Town Campus 256/281 near The Architect Society & PCSIR Phase – II Lahore, from 15th – 17th November 2012. The tournament is being organized in collaboration with the Punjab Chess Association.

The little chess masters of your school are encouraged to participate in this competition where winners and runners-up in each age group will be awarded with certificates and medals. Winners will also receive cash prizes of Rs. 8,000/-, Rs. 4,000/- and Rs. 2,000/- for 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively along with medals and consolation prizes for 4th, 5th and 6th positions. Little Masters of Lahore of the year 2011 had the honour to play consecutive chess matches with Dr. Nigel Short, world’s renowned Chess Grand Master on his historic visit to Pakistan and were also offered free entry to the Punjab Chess Championship.

Kindly note the following rules to register your students:

  1. One school can send a maximum of 4 entries including boys and girls.
  2. Last date to receive registration forms (enclosed herewith) is 31st October 2012.
  3. There will be two age groups

Age Group A Upto 12 + years of age: The participants should be less than 13 years of age on 15-11-2012.

Age Group B Upto 16 + years of age: The participants should be less than 17 years of age on 15-11-2012.

  1. The registration fee is Rs. 100/- per participant. It can be paid in cash, through crossed cheque or pay order.
  2. Please send the registration form along with the entry fee to any one of the persons named below:

Note:

  1. International chess rules will be followed.
  2. Timings and related modalities will be finalized in the representatives meeting.
  3. Representatives meeting will be held at the Alhamra Town Campus on 5th November 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
  4. Please find enclosed 2 posters for the tournament to be displayed at prominent places in your school premises.
  5. Entries are limited. Selection will be made on first come first served basis.
